What a Happy 3 Months!
Happy three months to the sweetest, cutest, and most wonderful boy!
The last three months has been bliss for Aaron and me.
We have so much fun with Eli.
Every day he makes us smile so much.
Some days I feel like it's my wedding again because
my jaw hurts from all the smiling :)
- Bath time
- To make lots of cooing noises
- To smile
- His playmat and his singing frog
- To go on walks
- His mom singing with him
- To visit with people (when I am talking with a friend Eli
- will just start cooing the entire time we are talking, so cute)
- To listen to his Christmas songs
- To play with his dad
- To play with his purple rattle and orange giraffe
If we need to go outside Aaron will bundle him up in like a million layers
and hold him. He is like a little heater and falls asleep so fast.
ooogling over this cute boy all day!
I thought it was so funny and ran to grab the camera.
He started to put his legs down as I took this picture,
but I thought it was so great. (Plus, it shows that he has
a little meat on his legs now...hehe)

Dear Santa
Dear Santa,
I have been really good this year, well...the last three months anyway. I have thought long and hard about what I want, and what I want more than anything is for my adoption to be finalized and to be sealed to my mommy and daddy forever. I think I overheard mommy and daddy saying this is what they want most for Christmas too.
P.S. Oh, the formula is pretty good so if you could put in a good word to keep that coming.

Eli's First Thanksgiving
Every year since I have been married I have enjoyed a
fun Thanksgiving tradition. We have put kernels of corn on our
Thanksgiving plate before we eat which represent what little
food the pilgrims had their first Thanksgiving. Then we take turns
going around the room expressing one thing we are grateful for
for each kernel of corn. I love this tradition.

I am so grateful that Eli joined our family. He is the most perfect
addition and we are so happy. I am also so grateful to Eli's birthmom
who listened to the Spirit, and even though it was hard, placed
Eli in our family. I am grateful for prayers that have been answered.
Eli's birthmom was truly an answer to our prayers and
Eli is the biggest blessing in our lives.
ourselves today and enjoyed every minute.
You know that calories don't count on Thanksgiving, right?

Look Who's 2 Months!
Sweet Eli turned two months yesterday and here are some of
his pics with his teddy bear. I had to wait to post them since
we went to his appointment today and got his stats.

we went to his appointment today and got his stats.
Height: 23 1/4 inches (he's grown 4 1/4 inches since birth) 62%
Weight: 10 lbs 15 oz (he's gained 5 pounds since birth) 31%
Head circumference: 15 inches 12%
{I had a funny thought today, at least I thought it was funny.
Wouldn't it be so funny/awkward/interesting if every time
we went to the doctors as adults, we still got these stats?
I think I would want to know.}
Eli is now:
Making lots of cooing noises and squeals.
Smiling - yes it is the real thing, and not just gas.
Putting his fist in his mouth.
Responding to voices and following things with his eyes
Clasping objects, especially his mom's hair.
Playing with his toys on his playmat.
And of course, just melting his parents hearts.

All you mothers know what I'm talking about.
The dreaded immunizations.
I was stressed out about them for a few weeks now and I
honestly don't know if Eli handled it better than I did!
His face in this picture sums up how he felt about it though.
Happy 2 months Eli!

Did you notice how each one of the things listed are things that "I get."
Seems like it's a little one-sided, huh?
I am so blessed.
I am truly grateful to be Eli's mom.
